Matt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an array of experiences working with marginalized, vulnerable, and emerging adult populations. Matt has earned his Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Missouri-Saint Louis (UMSL) and Bachelor’s in General Studies at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO).
Matt worked with Gender Expansive Queer Youth at a local St. Louis agency, Growing American Youth (GAY). Matt had the privilege to work with client’s who have experienced trauma that resulted from the intersections of their identities, and relationship & sexual violence.
Matt takes an integrated, client centered approach to psychotherapy which is steeped in a strength-based and person in environment philosophy that promotes recovery, resiliency, and post-traumatic growth. Matt is trained in various treatment modalities from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to Integrated Treatment for Complex Trauma (ITCT), which is holds an national certification, Trauma-Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in which he is rostered in Missouri, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
