At Vivent Health, our mission to end HIV/AIDS starts with a simple belief: every person has value and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. For Laura (she/her), who leads our Talent Acquisition team, that belief comes through in everything she does.

“I’ve heard from so many candidates that they feel like they’re coming home when they start with us,” Laura says. And that’s in no small part because of Laura, her team, and the way they support candidates through the process—sometimes starting even before they’ve applied.

“I’ve had neurodivergent candidates who needed accommodations in order to apply,” she says. “I’ve had candidates who were overwhelmed with the technology, so I booked time with them to walk through the process. We also have team members who are Spanish-speakers to support candidates for whom English isn’t their first language.”

That’s because Laura believes everyone who wants to apply should be able to. Because everyone deserves a fair shot. And because it’s the things that make us different that make us special.

“We don’t just say we value diversity,” Laura says. “We walk the walk. We celebrate people’s differences and foster them through the interview process, with the end result of them knowing how important they are to our patient care and our success as an organization.”
