The vast majority of people living with HIV are people of color and people who identify as LGBTQIA+. Many of them are also facing issues like food insecurity, housing instability, and other structural barriers that prevent them from accessing care. Dr. Hill’s plan for Vivent Health includes steady, paced growth with a focus on reaching more people in currently served communities. By deepening relationships and building partnerships with other organizations who are serving the most marginalized people, particularly through food and housing, Vivent Health will meet folks where they’re at and help get them connected to care. He’s also reimagining care delivery itself by shifting the dynamic from transactional—which he says most healthcare is—to relational. This shift in care delivery results in improved outcomes for individuals.
The results of Dr. Hill’s leadership are already evident since he joined Vivent Health in August 2022. Under his guidance, Vivent Health has experienced significant growth, including mergers that expanded the organization’s footprint into Illinois (Chicago) and Michigan (Detroit, Ypsilanti), establishing a Vivent Health presence in 15 markets across six states. With this growth, Vivent Health also increased revenue by $30 million, added 150 employees, and cared for 16,503 patients (a 9% increase). What’s more, 96% of those patients have achieved viral suppression (compared to the national average of 65%), meaning the amount of HIV in the body is so low it cannot be detected by tests and it cannot be transmitted to anyone else—one of the most effective and powerful means available to stop the spread of HIV and end the epidemic.
“The work we do at Vivent Health is vitally important to the communities we serve, who so often are already marginalized, stigmatized, and discriminated against. Being named a 2025 Titan of Industry is not only an honor for me personally, but it’s a privilege to be representing an organization that fights so hard for a cause I believe in so wholeheartedly: health justice.”
Dr. Hill will be honored at the Titan 100 awards on January 30, 2025, at Fiserv Forum. This unique cocktail-style awards event will gather 100 Titans of Industry and their guests for an evening unlike anything that exists in the Wisconsin business community.
“On behalf of the partners and associates at Wipfli, we congratulate the 2025 Wisconsin Titan100 honorees. We appreciate the lasting impact each leader has made, and continues to make, in building organizations of significance both in Wisconsin and abroad. Your ingenuity and creativity have set you apart, and the honor of being seen as an industry Titan is richly deserved,” says Gina Skibo, Partner at Wipfli.
