Dayna Flores
Bio
Dayna Flores (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois with a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She began her career at Vivent Health/TPAN in 2009, where she helped design, implement, and manage OVAH! (Our Voices Advocating Health), a federally funded youth program focused on HIV/STI and substance use prevention and education. After completion of the OVAH! Program Dayna provided individual therapy and managed the Paws and Effect Program, a pilot study which paired rescue dogs with clients living with HIV to demonstrate the health benefits of companion animals.
Now serving as Associate Director of Behavioral Health, Dayna supervises clinical staff and has over 15 years of experience working with LGBTQIA+ and gender non-conforming individuals, as well as those living with or impacted by HIV. Her approach is harm-reductive, trauma-informed, sex-positive, and rooted in social justice. Trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, her areas of clinical interest include complex trauma, relationships and attachment, personality construction, substance use, neurodivergence, and diverse expressions of sexuality and identity, including polyamory and kink.
