Food Pantry & Nutrition

Food is a vital part of your HIV treatment. Everyone should have access to fresh, nutritious food to gain the strength they need to thrive and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our food pantries are an essential component in our HIV Medical Home. We aim to ensure you get the food and nutrition you need to process HIV medications more easily, make your immune system stronger, improve your oral health and foster your overall health and HIV treatment success.

Serving Patients With Dignity

Vivent Health food pantries are located in all of our locations. Our professional staff will treat you with the dignity and respect you deserve. Our client choice model, in place at each food pantry, means you can shop from a menu and choose the foods you like instead of items being pre-selected for you.

Our professional nutritionist provides all Vivent Health food pantries with advice on the best foods for patients living with HIV. With this information, we stock foods that are fresh, nutritious and high in protein and vitamin content. Foods commonly available include:

  • Chicken, turkey, beef and other meats
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Fresh fruit
  • Fresh bread and rolls
  • Milk and cheese
  • Sports drinks
  • Canned vegetables, beans, soups, meats and fruit
  • Boxed cereals, pasta, rice and potatoes
  • Frozen pizza and dinners
  • Nutritional supplements

The Roma Hanson Holiday Meal Program

During the holiday season, our food pantries become a very festive place. A beautiful holiday food basket is prepared for every food pantry patron that includes a turkey or ham, potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce, bread and a pie. It provides patients who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a wonderful holiday meal with all the fixings needed for a scrumptious dinner.
