Dr. Kristin Mondy grew up in Austin and is currently the Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas Dell Medical School. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where she was involved in clinical trials related to HIV therapy and the study of long-term complications of HIV. After returning to Austin in 2008, she was the main provider of HIV and hepatitis C care at the Austin Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic for several years before becoming full-time faculty with the University of Texas’ Internal Medicine Residency Program. In addition to her work with Vivent Health, she continues to actively teach students and residents, and provide clinical care at the University of Texas Dell-Seton Medical Center.
